Resort Tupai
Development
Lombok, Indonesia

Resort Tupai is a premium tropical resort development in southern Lombok, conceived around a property investment model that combines contemporary hospitality with the island’s natural landscape. The development brings together suites, bungalows and private villas alongside an extensive range of shared amenities.
SITE & CONTEXT
Located in southern Lombok, Resort Tupai is surrounded by lush tropical landscapes and within easy reach of the island’s southern coastline, beaches and key destinations. Its hillside setting allows the resort to follow the natural contours of the site while remaining closely integrated with the surrounding greenery. Proximity to Mandalika and Lombok’s growing tourism infrastructure further strengthen its position within an emerging international destination.
PROJECT VISION
Resort Tupai is envisioned as a premium tropical destination combining architecture, landscape and hospitality within a low-density environment.
The development brings together private accommodation with spaces for leisure, wellness and social experiences, serving both guests and its property investment model. Accommodation includes suites, bungalows and villas, complemented by an infinity pool, spa, yoga and gym facilities, restaurants and bars, a central square, event and leisure spaces, solariums and landscaped open areas.
DESIGN & ARCHITECTURE
The architectural concept centres on integration with nature. Low-rise buildings follow the hillside terrain, combining contemporary minimalism and tropical design with extensive use of wood and locally appropriate materials. Terraces, balconies, large openings and landscaped spaces create a strong connection between indoor and outdoor living and Lombok’s tropical surroundings.
ENVIRONMENTAL APPROACH
Local materials, extensive planting and the preservation of a lush green landscape form an important part of the design approach, helping the resort remain visually integrated with its natural setting.
LOCAL INTERESTS
Southern Lombok is developing as an international tourism destination, supported by the Indonesian MotoGP at Mandalika, improving transport and airport infrastructure and continued regional investment. Its beaches, landscapes and Sasak cultural heritage remain central to the island’s tourism appeal.
